Title MCIE Disclosure: Patent Dispute Resolution Manual
Writer Admin Date 2005-10-25 Hits 2040
A series of guidelines was released for settling disputes over international patent claims that would give a hand to Korean companies involved.

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy and Korea Electronic Industries Association announced in October 5 that they produced a standard manual on settling international patent fights, which is sort of roadmap to victory in a patent attack from any leading firm in America, Japan or Europe. It even includes the patent system and some unique administrative relief in China as a way to protect Korean intellectual property rights from patent infringement.

Such a manual with collective responses to patent attacks has never come out before here in Korea. The production of the manual is copied from an American edition issued earlier this year by MCIE and EIA took several years, and the number of patent experts who had joined the wording process hit around 200 annually. It is compiled into a ten volume set that is divided by nation or Q&A.
